Why is it called Stunning Vistas on the map?

The resort is under new management from December 2015 and renamed Stunning Republic. Inevitably this means there is a transition period where we are updating business details with various organisations such as Google, TripAdvisor and others.

Do you take credit card?

We accept MasterCard® and Visa®, and PayPal®. We also accept cash payment in the following currencies:

We advise you bring a reasonable amount of currency with you, as ATM machines in El Nido are quite scarce at the moment.

Is there electricity & the Internet?

El Nido like many areas in the Philippines are developing quickly, but still suffers from the occasional brown-out. As part of our ongoing renovations, Stunning Republic Beach Resort has an upgraded electricity supply in addition to an on-site generator providing 24 hour electricity, all year round. If a brown-out occurs, you may experience a small disruption whilst the generator kicks in.

The resort does have access to an improved free WiFi connection, but it is unfortunately far slower to the speeds you are used to back at home, as El Nido currently lacks a fibre optic infrastructure.
